    About the Trek:

    The ecstatic Churdhar peak trek lies in the Himalayan state of Himachal Pradesh. Churdhar peak height sits at 3600m making it the tallest peak in the Lower Himalayas. The trek starts from Nauradhar which is also the base camp and just 4 hours from Chandigarh city. The trail passes through dense forest, open meadows and orchards and green hills making it one of the most scenic routes. From Nauradhar, 3 to 4 hours later, you reach the next stop Jam Nallah which is 7 km away. The incline is quiet gradual making it suitable for beginners. Here you find yourself surrounded by pine and cedar trees and the freshness of the forest.

    Jam Nallah is situated at 9 km from the Churdhar peak which involves passing through a mix of gradual as well as steep slopes. As you start walking from Jam Nallah towards Teesri, the next rest stop, you cross serene and lush green forest where all you see is greenery, hear sounds of birds and fauna and smell the freshness of the forest all the way.     Soon you leave the forest behind and embrace rocky boulders and hills, moving beyond treeline, with views of a chain of mountains. After 2 km of walking on a bit of steep gradient trail you finally reach the summit of Churdhar peak trek, and stand atop the tallest mountain in the region offering you a totally unobstructed views of far away Himalayan peaks. You can also spot peaks of Srikhand Mahadev, Kinner Kailash, Badrinath and Kedarnath, and the rivers Ganges and Sutlej.

    At the summit you will also find a magnificent idol of Lord Shiva and a temple where lunch is served daily. After enjoying the views and some rest, you bid adieu to the gorgeous 360-degree views and head back to Teesri and then Jam Nallah.     1. Day 1 Arrival

      Arrive early morning to Shimla and take a bus to Chopal. You can also hire a taxi for Chopal. After lunch the day will be at your leisure. You can stroll in the nearby market or enjoy the environment. Overnight stay in hotel.

    2. Day 2 Trek to Churdhar Peak

      After an early morning breakfast we will drive to the starting point. After a short breifing about the culture, do’s and dont’s we will start our trek for the peak. The trek goes through a beautiful meadow before climbing up with steep ascent. You have to be very careful because of slippery rocks and mud.

      If time permits after the darshan of Chureshwar Maharaj and we will descend back to the starting point or else overnight stay in tents.

    3. Day 3 Churdhar Peak to Chopal and Back to Shimla

      We will descend to Chopal and drive back to Shimla before heading back to our destinations.
