    About Destination

Nestled at around 82 km from Shimla, lies the unexplored Kuppad meadow peak trek. Shimla is the capital city and tucked away in the southeast part of the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh. The starting point of the trek is almost 3 hours drive from the town of Shimla, which has all the tourist facilities and essential shopping options. Spending the night in camps under the stars is something you wouldn’t trade for anything. Like other significant mountains and attractions, this place too has a tale associated with it. So, it goes according to the local tales, long ago a saint was travelling back to home from Haridwar carrying a pot of Ganga- Jal (Holy water) while passing from the place he mistakenly toppled the pot and spilled all the water. Hence the place is known as Giri-Ganga, where Ganga fell. Thus, an ancient temple of goddess Durga, Kali and Lord Shiva was built which is now a landmark for starting the trek. Every year local people gather there to worship Lord Shiva during (Shivratri) and Goddess Durga during (Navratri) along with mesmerising views, which goes with you in your heart.
