There are few sparkling glaciers that a trekker has to cross before reaching the final point. The pilgrims perform puja and precessions at the shrine of Lord Shiva here. Positioned at about 16,900 feet above the sea level, Shrikhand Kailash can be accessed from Jaon, Gushani, Bathad and Jeori. The simplest and easiest route begins from Jaon Village of Kullu District, which is located around 167 kilometres away from Shimla. The way to reach Jaon is through car, bike or bus. The starting point of the trek is Jaon boasting a shrine of Goddess Shakti. From Jaon, it is 70 kilometres of two-way track that passes through lush woods, streams, meadows and mountains. It is a difficult climb to the peak but the scenic views make it worth carrying out. Singh Gad is a village located two kilometres from Jaon. Singh Gad is the last habitat of civilization on the trail to Shrikhand Mahadev. This exquisite trail passes through opaque forests, sprawling meadows, water streams and soaring mountains.
